Position 5 — Baker County

Occupation: 

  • Currently, self-employed General Contractor. Thirty-three years in the Construction & Land Development business.  From million dollar custom homes, to commercial buildings, to Ag structures. Manager of family’s cow/calf operation in Grant County.

Education: 

  • Graduated Salutatorian from Dayville High School in 1982.
  • Has 12 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent overseeing multi-million dollar projects throughout the Northwest.

Honors: 

  • Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD) Certificate

  • Baker County Cattleman’s.
  • As an auctioneer, has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years in Baker County for Youth Programs and private families.

  • Retired, Director, Baker County Library District, Baker City, OR (1985-2007).

During this time, I completed my master's and was very active in OATAG (Oregon Association for Talented and Gifted) holding various offices including Legislative Chair and President. My professional career involved talented and gifted education at both the local and state levels and being an elementary principal. Since retirement in 2005, the Baker Valley has been my home.
