The service description box indicates a category of service that OTEC is providing to you. The classes of service include Residential, Irrigation, Small Commercial, Large Commercial or Industrial. Each class of service is subject to a different rate per kWh in order to fully recover costs for providing you electric service. If rates change, the change becomes effective for you on the billing date. An additional billing line, noted as 'Demand,' may appear if you are being billed for electric capacity.
