Special Election Information
Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative (OTEC) is a private, non-profit electric cooperative which is owned by the members it serves and is governed by a Board of Directors who are elected by the members and are accountable to the members. The Board of Directors makes business and policy decisions in setting the direction of OTEC. Directors are elected to serve three-year terms.
One of the Baker County directors, Wayne Overton, has stepped down from Board Position 5. Under OTEC’s bylaws, the board is required to appoint a Baker County member to fill the remainder of the term, which ends in 2027. Applications open September 22, 2026 and close October 13, 2026.
