There are 23 fire districts and departments in the OTEC service territory — Baker, Grant, Harney and Union counties — most of which are staffed with volunteers. Rural fire districts are often the first on the scene in an emergency situation. They are called upon to save lives and to protect property.
OTEC supports the brave men and women who volunteer to protect others and we thank each and every one of you for your selfless efforts.
Many of the fire protection districts across Oregon (and the U.S.) are in need of support. The top needs are more volunteers and adequate funding for equipment and training. Without these two essentials, many communities may not have the resources available when needed to fight fires or respond to other emergencies.
If you are interested in supporting your local fire district, please contact them. The map below is provided so you can easily locate your local district, below the map, contact numbers are also provided.
