BAKER CITY, Ore., and PORTLAND, Ore. - September 2, 2026 - Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative (OTEC) and IBEW Local 125 are pleased to announce that Local 125 members have ratified a new collective bargaining agreement, resolving the strike that began August 24. The tentative agreement was reached in the early morning of September 1, was supported by both bargaining teams, and was ratified by Local 125 members that evening.
Represented employees will resume their regular work schedules on Thursday, September 3. Agreement terms were provided to Local 125 members through the union’s ratification process. Both parties look forward to a return to normal operations and share a commitment to safe, reliable service for the communities OTEC serves.
